Sr. Reservoir Managing Consultant, Halliburton – Landmark, Kuwait (2011 – Present) In charge of the project for the asset management in North Kuwait (KOC), using the integration of multiple reservoir simulation (NEXUS) including surface facilities, making more effective the reserves assessments and the production forecasts, for the entire asset. Technical support, preparation of pilots, presentations and direct contact with the clients is one of the roles, trying to show the technical capabilities of the products including the NEXUS and Decision Management System DMS programs, Leader of the Reservoir engineer team in Kuwait in charge of the NKIMSAM multi-reservoir extension study (2 engineers assigned to the client in software support and in projects). Construct, model conversion, testing and debugging process, supervising one of the biggest integrated reservoir models in NEXUS; The KOC North Kuwait asset, including the Sabriyah and Raudhatain reservoirs and the minors and Abdali and Radqa (the entire asset), with dual porosity models, single porosity models, excel forecast models in a multi-scenario cases environment.

Multiple model history matching method has been used based on simultaneous comparison of spatial data offered by seismic (i.e. maps or volumes of attributes such as RMS amplitudes) as well as individual well production data. As an automatic history matching method, it improves on the classical approach. By using a global optimisation method such as a Genetic Algorithm or the Neighbourhood Algorithm.

- Coordinated and directly involved in a regional reservoir simulation study conducted for one of the major fields (B Field) El-Sharara Fields – NC-115) by Repsol YPF in Madrid. - Updated and conducted several reservoir simulation studies: data analysis, model construction, history matching and predictions using Eclipse100 black-oil simulator. - Following up “Reservoir simulation” being conducted for one of our important fields by an international consultant outside Libya. - Conducting a single-well and sector models by extracting some certain areas/cross sections from full field models for fit-for-purpose investigation (Schiehallion field, North Sea) - Pressure transient analysis: build-up, drawdown, multi-rate, interference tests, long term tests, PI, fall-off test, etc., using software. - Following full study in pressure test interpretation for horizontal wells in B-Field ALSHARARA –Libya in Edinburgh petroleum service (EPS, Edinburgh-UK) using Pansystem package. - Monitoring the performance of oil fields using: pressure surveys; production logging to monitor water cut, depleted reservoir horizons and injectivity performance; cased hole formation resistivity tool (CHFR) to monitor OWC rise and water saturation profiles; - Monitoring of water flooding using inter-well tracer techniques.
