Dr. Nidhal HNAIEN

I am an Assistant Professor (HDR) and PhD Engineer in Energy Engineering at the National Engineering School of Monastir (ENIM), University of Monastir, Tunisia, within the Department of Energy Engineering. 🔬 My research activities focus on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) applied to turbulent flow simulations, with particular emphasis on jet flows, buoyant and non-buoyant flows, multi-phase and multi-jet interactions, and impinging jets. My work addresses advanced numerical modeling of aerodynamics and pollutant dispersion, including the simulation of airflow and contaminant transport at the building and urban district scales (urban aerodynamics). These studies aim to better understand air quality, ventilation mechanisms, and environmental interactions in complex urban configurations. I also conduct numerical investigations of heat transfer in turbulent flows, focusing on coupled thermal and dynamic characteristics relevant to energy systems and environmental applications. The simulations are mainly performed using ANSYS Fluent and related CFD tools. 🎓 As an HDR-qualified academic, I supervise PhD theses in Energy Engineering, particularly in the areas of CFD, turbulence modeling, urban flows, heat transfer, and pollutant dispersion. 🤝 I am open to international academic and industrial collaborations, including joint research projects, co-supervision of doctoral students, and applied CFD studies related to energy, environment, and urban systems.
