SMEC is an International Australian Consultant, part of Surbana Jurong Group (Singaporean Co.). As a Project Director, I am leading the PMC Team for the Design, Tender preparation, Bids evaluation, and Construction Management and Supervision for a mega (400,000 m3/d) Seawater RO Desalination Plant and its allied works including product water Pump Stations and reservoirs, Transmission pipeline (DN 2000, M-Steel, 60 km long), as well as the assessment and improvement of the existing Water Supply Network in Chennai city. The project owner is Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board. The project is funded by international funding agency (JICA) and the overall project value is likely to exceed 1 Billion USD.

NWWC is a trading and contracting company carrying out EPC and O&M of water & wastewater projects and sales & services of speciality Engineered products (pumps & valves) to utility clients, and EPC contractors. I am leading the projects delivery departments, and responsible for the Tendering, Engineering, Quality Control, Planning & Control, Project Management, Technical Services and workshop, and Supply Chain Departments. Projects handled included Pump station for SWCC, Sludge handling system for 2 large STP plants for NWC’s at Alkhomra-Jeddah, multiple wells fields for NWC, O&M of RO plant for National Guards.

Thabat is a major Class One main contractor. I am responsible for projects delivery of water and infrastructure projects including Sewage Treatment Plants (2 plants of 200,000 m3/d capacity each) for NWC, Infrastructure works (over 210 km of irrigation, potable water supply and sewer network, storm water drainage, along with RMU, cables, roads & streetlights, evaporation pond and pump station) for MODON Industrial city, and Riyadh city Strategic Storage Tanks (1 million m3).

Bahri is the developer / Project Owner with an off take agreement with SWCC for 20 years. As PD, I was responsible for client facing, and led the delivery of the project (floating RO desalination plants), overseeing the EPC contractor (design, procurement, fabrication, construction, and testing & commissioning), the PMC team (design review, construction supervision, and PMO for the project controls), as well as the Legal and Contract Management advisers. Also participated in the O&M bid development and negotiation with tenderers. The Project handled was Build-Own￾Operate (BOO) strategic project. It is considered as iconic & unique in nature and is shortlisted for the “Desalination plant of the Year award” by Global Water Intelligence. It involves the development of three floating, barge mounted seawater Reverse Osmosis desalination plants with a total capacity of 150,000 m3/d together with intake, outfall, onshore post treatment facilities and pipeline connection to SWCC tanks (the off taker).

AECOM is one of the largest International Engineering Consultants. I was responsible for the Project Management and leadership of the PMO (design review, materials approval, planning & cost control) team as well as the construction supervision team of an NWC program. The program was fast track projects under 4 EPC contracts. The program (Waad Alshamal Treated Water Transmission system) included 7 pump stations, 430 km of CS & GRP pipeline, 17 Steel storage tanks (total capacity 840,000 m3), and a polishing plant (capacity 115,000 m3/d) with a total value exceeding 1.6 billion SAR.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is a mega multinational EPC contractor and ranked among the world's top 30 contractors. I was responsible for heading and developing L&Ts water business in Saudi Arabia, including business development, build up relationship and establish partnership and joint ventures with key strategic local and international partners and position the company as a major EPC contractor, targeting strategic projects, procure and bid for the projects, manage client and partner relations, and be responsible for the operations and full P&L business and the front face of the company in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Khodari is a multifaceted general contracting company, listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange. It is one of the leading class one contracting companies in the Middle East, employing over 20,000 employees. Reporting to the CEO with full P/L responsibilities of the Water and Wastewater Division. The projects handled were a portfolio of 10 infrastructure projects including Pump Station, Storm water drainage (pipes, box culverts & channels), and Sewage networks with a total value around 750 million SAR and total network length of over 600 KMs. The EPC works include redesign, shop drawings, and construction implementation. The total number of resources in the division exceeded 2,000 people (including direct report of 10 Project Managers), and 100s of major construction machinery.

SMEH is part of Arifi Group of companies. I was responsible for the overall leadership and P&L of the Contracting Business Unit. The projects handled were EPC works of major buildings (3 University Colleges for MOHE, HQ of Medical Services Directorate of MODA, Technical Higher Institute) with areas ranging from 30,000 to 50,000 m2 each.

I led the Operational (projects delivery) Departments of the company including Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain (Subcontracting, procurement, logistics & stores), Production (factory), Planning & Control, Cost control, QA/QC, Field execution. The projects handled included multiple municipal water treatment plants, desalination (RO) plants, industrial wastewater treatment plants, and wastewater treatment plants (including ultra-filtration, Membrane Bioreactors (MBR), Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR), and extended aeration). The number of live projects handled at any moment of time exceeded 50 projects with various capacities up to 60,000 m3/d. Participated in the company migration to SAP ERP system. I also participated in the company strategic management and planning process using the “Balance Score Cards” proposed by PWC and named as the BSC Project Manager and assigned as the Change Initiative Champion.

Imperial college London, is ranked as one of the top 5 universities in the world During my studies I have carried out research and consultation work in the field of concrete technology covering the durability of High Strength Normal Weight and Light Weight Concrete. I was also working and part-time Lecturer and Demonstrator in the 'Advanced Concrete Technology Course' and the Concrete Laboratory.
