Oversee and mentor project managers and cross-functional teams, including contractors, developers, test engineers, and network/electrical engineers. Apply strategic and technical leadership to mitigate risk, resolve constraints, and keep projects on track for schedule, budget, performance, and safety targets. Make critical decisions on scope, budget, and resourcing in coordination with executive leadership, aligning project delivery with portfolio and corporate objectives. Establish and maintain robust project controls to monitor resources, track progress against baselines, and identify gaps between planned and actual performance for continuous improvement.

Head of BESS Consulting, responsible for leading battery energy storage advisory services across the UK and multiple international markets. Provide expert support in Owner’s Engineering, Lender’s Technical Advisory, and Technical Due Diligence for utility-scale BESS and hybrid projects worldwide. Lead and mentor multidisciplinary BESS teams, set technical standards, and maintain governance and quality of all deliverables. Own proposal development and client liaison, aligning scope, budget, and schedule with client requirements and bankability needs.

Provide consultancy and technical leadership on electrical, contractual, PV, BESS and other engineering topics for a broad range of renewable and hybrid power plant projects in Ethiopia, Germany, India, Israel, Namibia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Oman and Turkey. Conduct PV module production inspections and factory acceptance tests (FAT) for transformers, generators and other electrical equipment. Develop, design and model PV and BESS projects using HOMER and MATLAB/Simulink. Manage and review detailed design processes, including design validation, contract support, tender evaluation and Owner’s and Lender’s Engineering services.

Led business development for utility-scale solar and hybrid projects from greenfield site identification through grid interconnection strategy and commercial structuring. Provided technical leadership in evaluating and selecting PV and related technologies to support investment decisions. Monitored project progress and managed scope, schedule, and resource planning to keep initiatives on time and within budget. Negotiated EPC and technical contracts, including separate packages for substations and overhead transmission lines. Led MES/SCADA implementation for a 500 MW vertically integrated PV manufacturing facility (ingot, cell and module production).

Directed and coordinated EPC tender and O&M (Operation & Maintenance) activities for various energy efficiency projects, involving contract negotiations and expert development. Supervised asset management processes for distributed generation projects in operation. Identified and monitored project risks and issues throughout construction. Developed mitigating strategies and advised on the CAPEX, OPEX and project programme risks. Maintained information about technology standards and compliance regulations. Projects: EPC of 1 MW to 8 MW (total 60) MW PV Power Plant Portfolio in Turkey. Business development of new PV plants in the Netherlands and the US in size of 5 MW to 15 MW (in total > 100 MW).

Project Management in Solar Energy Power Plants Course under Energy Technologies and Management Master Program.

Supported the development and execution of distributed generation projects, including cogeneration, trigeneration, solar, and wind, by providing engineering input across feasibility, design, and implementation stages. Led pre-development activities for greenfield geothermal, solar, and wind power plants, including site screening, concept design, and permitting support. Prepared technical specifications for utility-scale solar PV and wind projects, contributing to a development pipeline of approximately 270 MWe of solar PV and 50 MWe of wind capacity.

Provided engineering support for all greenfield solar and wind PPs project development processes by maintaining active involvement in all phases of projects from concept to manufacture and construction. Created technical specifications for large-scale solar PPs electrical BOP and SCADA designs for hydro and wind PP projects with a size of more than 500 MW. Developed technical documents -including control circuit diagram, monitoring system diagram of BESS and substation for power plant. Analysed complex SCADA-related problems and proposed solutions for wind, hydroelectric and solar PPs. Assisted project teams and contractor teams with technical studies, RFP support, new technology evaluation, design and preparation of specifications and testing. Ensured product design complied with engineering principles, standards, government regulations and company contract requirements.
