 Alinging EHS activities with business Goal, Mission & Vision.  Responsible for providing overall leadership, guidance, assurance, and accountability in managing Sustainability & EHS.  Have strong relationship with governing bodies related to Environment and safety etc.  Climate Change initiatives, CDM, Climate Finance, Water audit, & Water foot printing.  Review and update of existing EHS policy framework with respect to business need and current scenario.  Provide leadership and strategic direction for the company’s EHS program.  Assess operational risk and implement programs to mitigate top risks.  Develop and update Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs as required to ensure company compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations.  Act as the primary liaison for regulatory agency visits, inquiries and correspondence.  Understand regulatory changes and trends, and forecast company impacts.  Drive improvements in company EHS culture and employee EHS awareness and accountability.  Develop and deliver EHS training.  Maintain site EHS permits (air, industrial wastewater, hazardous waste treatment, storm water, fire, pressure vessel) and ensure regulatory reports are submitted accurately and on-time.  Review new processes and materials for EHS impact and ensure that EHS implications are fully understood and considered in company business decisions.  Manage and administer the medical surveillance program & Occupational Hygeine.  Drive incident investigation and corrective action planning processes  Partner with Human Resources to manage injury claims and the Return to Work program.

Develop site specific safety policies, procedures and programs.Develop and devise implementation plans for health, safety & environmental training. Interact with regulatory agencies as required to maintain compliance with all applicable standards.Environmental and Factory license related Statutory compliance, Liaisoning with Pollution Control Board, Labour Department and other Govt. officials related to NOC,Environmental Clearance for new Project / modification / expansion, Licenses. Develop and communicate emergency response and contingency activities. Work with Corporate Emergency Response and Security to ensure appropriate plans are in place Risk assessment and job safety analysis for work Environment. Conducted Safety Meetings & daily Pre Tour Meetings. Trained personnel on (Fire drills, Mock drills, man down drills, spill drills and pit drills).Interpret and implement the Incident Management Plan /emergency plan and provide support for carrying out emergency exercises. Accident and near-miss investigation, analysis and prevention, implementing efficient PTW (Permit to Work) system, ensuring fire prevention and disaster management and establishing and implementing emergency response/ preparedness, Procedures and training. Ensuring work places and equipment operated safely and ensuring PPE are available and used when needed, First aid boxes maintained and trained certified first aiders available. Develop and implement continuous improvement plans.Ensure the effective implementation of LOTO, contractor safety, work permit, Forklift safety and other world class best practices. Develop safety training programme and trained employees.Establish audit processes to determine program effectiveness.Establish pollution prevention initiatives and programs. Participate in and facilitate incident / accident investigation related to our employees, Contractors & Third parties.Effluent Monitoring & Management of periodic monitoring programme of ground water/soil.
