Dr. Maryam Almatrooshi

As a passionate enthusiast for health, sports, and community well-being, I am honored to serve in several leadership roles that allow me to make a meaningful impact across the UAE. Currently, I am the Head of the Dubai Police Athletic Council, where I lead initiatives to promote physical fitness and holistic wellness among law enforcement professionals.In addition, I am privileged to be the Vice President (Dubai) of the UAE Sports For All Federation under the Ministry of Sport. In this role, I work to create inclusive sports programs that inspire people of all ages and abilities to embrace active, healthy lifestyles.My commitment to sports development extends to my position as Head of the Gymnastics Committee UAE, where I focus on nurturing young talent and elevating the standards of gymnastics nationwide. I am also proud to be an Honorary Member of the UAE Kung Fu Tai Chi Qigong Association, supporting the integration of traditional martial arts and wellness practices into our community.My academic background is rooted in medicine, with a Bachelor’s degree in General Medicine and General Surgery (2007-2012), followed by a Radiology Residency (2013-2017). I hold certifications from both the European Board of Radiology (2019) and the Arab Board of Radiology (2013-2020).Driven by a vision to empower individuals and communities, I strive to bridge the worlds of medicine and sports, fostering environments where everyone can thrive physically and mentally. I am always eager to connect with like-minded professionals who share a passion for health, sports, and positive change.
