More than 35 years of teaching and research experience at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. More than 10 years of experience working at the Synchrotron Radiation facilities, Bonn University, Germany. Founding Director Science at SESAME project, Amman, Jordan. Established Atomic and Molecular Physics Laboratory at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad and supervised 33 Ph.D. and 80 MPhil students from this laboratory. At the National Centre for Physics, Developed Atomic and Laser Physics Laboratory to study Laser Produced Plasma. Also fabricated Laser Ablation Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer for Isotopic analysis and for compositional analysis of any solid material. Expert in Rydberg States of Atoms, Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy, Pulsed Laser Deposition, Vacuum Technology, Fiber Lasers. The Government of Pakistan has conferred three Civil Awards; Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (1993), SitaraImtiaz (1999), Hilal-i-Imtiaz (2009).
