My research centered around drawing from a lived experience. Growing up in a resourceful rural community, people utilized materials that flowed into their sphere to create useful things. The research examjned this generative, self reliant way of thinking and explored developed the way of thinking and way of doing, into a design method.

My master's looked at ways to create more bespoke, craft-like approaches into digital print textiles in order to create greater longevity in the way the textiles are perceived and treated. When we perceive the human hand, and work in an object, do we treat that object with greater respect? This was the research question I explored at Masters level.
