Welcome! I’m Dr. Jeannie Lawrence, a board-certified psychiatrist, executive and life coach for physicians, and founder of The Sanctuary Institute for Life Mastery™. At The Sanctuary Institute, we help women physicians move from burnout, guilt, and chronic overfunctioning to peace, purpose, and personal mastery — empowering them to lead fulfilling lives both inside and outside of medicine. After 15 years in clinical psychiatry, I saw how the very system designed to care for others was quietly wounding its own. What began as one-on-one work with high-achieving women physicians has grown into a mission to reshape the culture of medicine itself — restoring humanity, balance, and purpose to those who keep our healthcare systems running. Drawing on neuroscience, emotional mastery, and evidence-based coaching, I created the BREATHE™ Framework — a step-by-step process that helps physicians calm emotional overwhelm, gain clarity, and take purposeful action in alignment with their values.
