An enthusiastic, adaptive and fast-learning person with 10 years of engineering/research experience (including 3 years postdoc). I have broad and acute interest in the discovery of new innovative spintronics/spin-caloritronics based energy and power devices, thermoelectric films, superconducting thin films and low temperature physics. I particularly enjoy collaborating with scientists from different disciplines to develop new skills and solve new challenges. My research is an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research, which combines the various fields of science and technology in order to achieve the innovation of high-performance energy convertors.

My PhD thesis is “Investigation of Manganites based Spintronics Devices”, which shows the fabrication and characterization of the nano-devices based on manganites. We have investigated the effects of strain (produced by the reduction in the thickness of the film) and electric field effect on the transport and the magnetic properties of manganite ultra thin films. Apart from this, the effect of electric field on the charge ordering in a single crystal of PCMO have been investigated. Also, we have presented the Spin-caloritronics effects (ANEs and PNEs) in manganite thin films. PhD Advisor : Prof. C. V. Tomy (Department of Physics, IIT Bombay) and Prof. Ashwin Tulapurkar (Department of Electrical Engineering and Centre for Excellence in Nanoelectronics, IIT Bombay, Mumbai). My research interests during my PhD were: “Condensed Matter Physics (Experimental), Spintronics, Physics of nano-devices, Multiferroics, Manganites (i.e., LSMO, LCMO, PCMO, LPCMO, etc.), Superconducting thin films, thermoelectric films and low temperature physics”.
