I began my career in the oil and gas sector as a petrophysicist, but it soon became clear to me that the global energy landscape needed to evolve. Wanting to contribute to that shift, I redirected my focus toward renewable and sustainable technologies. That transition took me from physics into materials engineering—moving from string theory to the complex and applied world of hydrogen–materials interactions.Today, I work at the forefront of 2D materials development (Mxenes), creating new synthesis methods that are scalable, efficient, and environmentally responsible. My work bridges fundamental materials science with practical, upscaled manufacturing approaches that support the next generation of clean‑energy technologies.Alongside my technical work, I am deeply involved in strategic management, contributing to roadmap development and long‑term planning that shape research priorities and technology pathways. This includes assessing the evolving 2D‑materials landscape, identifying emerging opportunities, and aligning future applications—such as next‑generation energy devices, advanced membranes, and sustainable manufacturing routes—with broader innovation strategies. I am a resourceful and innovative materials scientist with extensive experience in materials’ physical and chemical properties, processing, development, and advanced manufacturing. My expertise includes hydrogen storage materials, fuel cells, electrolysis systems, proton‑conducting membranes, and oxygen‑separation membranes.
