Dr Datta Vijay

Dr Vijay Datta, B.Sc. M.A. English, M.Ed., PhD (Education), GOC-in-commendation, President's National Awardee, Shiksha Ratan, has done Educational Leadership Programme from University College of London. He has more than three decades of experience in the Public-School circuit. A major part of this was at MAYO COLLEGE AJMER. He was instrumental in bringing the concepts of life skills to the country besides propagating the idea of emotional intelligence and scientific attitude. Dr Datta was awarded his Ph.D. by the Regional Institute of Ajmer and he also served as a resource person and an expert for various workshops and seminars conducted at the Regional Institute of Education, Ajmer, a constituent unit of NCERT. It is in recognition of his sterling service towards education and character building that while serving at the Army Public School, Dagshai, Dr Datta was decorated with the Army Commander's Commendation for Distinguished Service. Currently, Dr Datta heads Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi. Dr Datta's assiduity and conscientiousness in duty has propelled Modern School to greater heights as the school was appreciated by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, in the form of an inspirational letter for its remarkable achievements and endeavours. Dr Datta is the Member of the Governing Body of CBSE. He has been spearheading pertinent discussions on the N.E.P. for the members of IPSC schools. His valuable insight and suggestions are being assimilated by CBSE for the benefit of students. Dr Vijay Datta is the executive member of IPSC. He is also the Vice President of Delhi Lawn Tennis Association (DLTA).
