Baoquan received his PhD in computer graphics from the State Key Lab of Computer Science in ISCAS (Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences) in 2007. During his PhD study, he had been working as a long-term research intern at Microsoft Research Asia, performing research on realtime rendering and GPU-based parallel computing. After that he had been with the University of Bedfordshire, UK, as a Senior Research Fellow at CCGV (Centre for Computer Graphics and Visualization) for 8 years. And then, he had been with Huawei Research UK (as an Expert in Graphics Algorithm) for about 5 years. At present, he is with Tencent Games as a Senior Technical Expert in graphics and GPU computing, game engines, performance optimization (both CPU & GPU) for games. Specialties: Computer Graphics, Rendering Algorithms, Game Engines, GPU computing, GPU architecture, Data Visualization, AI and Deep Learning. A specialist in 3D Graphics technologies for PC, consoles, and mobile phones. - Filed over 10 international patents (including US, PCT, and European patents) all in the area of GPU architecture and graphics algorithm. - Published over 40 peer-reviewed research papers in international journals and conferences, e.g., -- IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG), Computer Graphics Forum (CGF), and Computers & Graphics (C&G); -- ACM SIGGRAPH, Eurographics/IEEE Symposium on Visualization (EuroVis), Pacific Graphics(PG), Shape Modeling International (SMI), Computer Graphics International (CGI), VRST, ACM VRCIA, etc.
