During my postdoc at CMU, my research mainly focused on real-time physics simulation. The work includes GPU-based fluid simulation as well as cloud-based data-driven cloth simulation. The latter study was based on the collection of custom-built distributed computing for data population and parallel processing for real-time simulation. This was a collaborative project with Visual Computing Lab at UC Berkeley.

My Ph.D. research focuses on computer graphics, especially on physics-based animation and rendering. I developed numerical methods that can produce realistic animation efficiently by introducing higher-order approximation methods and hybrid simulation framework. The work also includes implementation of parallel algorithms for multicore CPUs or GPUs and real-time data visualization.
