Douglas Asay

Douglas L Asay acquired his first hauling company in 2005 then subsequently co-founded and launched TrashMasters, LLC in 2009 when he consummated a private equity partnership where he served as President & Chief Executive Officer until 2016, when the company sold. He has spent more than 25 years managing in the solid waste industry for Allied Waste and Waste Management, both Fortune 500 companies and the largest providers of solid waste services in North America. He served in many roles to include General Manager, Regional Operations Manager, Assistant Fleet Director, and Group Manager of Maintenance, Safety, and Quality Assurance. Doug’s experience is broad based, encompassing all aspects of management in collection, transfer stations, MRF (material recovery facilities), and landfills. Mr. Asay graduated in 1988 with a technical degree in Automotive / Diesel Transportation Technology from National Education Center’s Automotive Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. Specialties: Doug is an accomplished senior level manager that can be very strategic but tactical when necessary, with experience in all facets of business, from business development to operations. He has been recognized as a leading expert in the Solid Waste Industry for his innovation and accomplishments in Business Improvement Processes (turnarounds), Maintenance & Operational Management including fleet maintenance, heavy equipment maintenance, vehicle routing, motor carrier management, equipment specifications, and procurement.
