I began my career as a software engineer at Bell Laboratories, where over the course of a decade, I had a front row seat to the tragic dismantling of one of the finest R&D entities the world has ever seen. That experience compelled me to branch out on my own, founding a software company built around creating products the Call Center industry had never before seen. After successfully growing that business and selling it to a publicly traded company based in Israel, I was ready for a change. With plenty of business experience and a lot of battle scars, I felt a calling to work on things that truly mattered. In 2012, I formed HDS, LLC, known today as Kanso Software. Our goal was simple: move the needle and create positive, lasting change in one of the most challenging domains on the planet – affordable housing and homelessness across America. Our team is aggressively developing solutions that provide clarity into the management of safe and affordable shelter for those in need. That means leveraging advanced technology to redefine housing and homelessness in every city and Indian Reservation throughout the country. And on a broader level, it’s about simplifying a very difficult problem by empowering organizations with better tools to make their government interactions more efficient – and a whole lot easier. Given the unique moment in which we find ourselves, the challenge has never been greater. But I count it a privilege to serve these groups alongside my team of innovators as we work to build solutions that can change lives – and transform tomorrow.
