Dorra Bouchiha is the director of software development for the Risk Engineering teams at Wealthsimple, combining Fraud and Credit Risk. Dorra brings years of technical experience in Fraud detection, Developer tooling (CI/CD, Feature Flags, ...) and Compiler development. Dorra is a people focused leader that strives to create an environment of trust and accountability, where individuals are encouraged to leverage their strengths to achieve the team’s goals. Dorra is also the co-leader of the Women in Engineering Employee Resource Group at Wealthsimple. Dorra has a physics and computational math undergrad from the University of Pierre and Marie Curie in Paris, a Masters from the Quantum Institute at the University of Sherbrooke and a PhD from the University of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. She is passionate about astronomy, space travel and quantum computing.
