I was placed with Patrick Metals and was later hired into the company. I worked in several departments with Patrick Metals.

I took some traditional classes such as English, Consumer math all the way up to Pre-Algebra, general business, accounting 1. Then I took some non-traditional classes. Mechanical drawing, Drafting, wood shop, metal shop.

I started as an activities assistant. I worked with residents of all disabilities. Help transport them to and from activities of their choosing. From music, exercise, popcorn party, ice cream social or bingo just to name a few. I also helped transport residents to and from dinning room during meals. I also worked as a dietary aide. I helped with setting up and preparing tray line to serve the residents in the dinning room. Helped fill trays according to diets and then loading trays on to carts and deliver them to different wings of the facility for the residents. I worked doing prep cooking. I prepared certain foods deserts for the next meal. After serving was done it was time to tear down and start cleaning tray line, wing carts and then all the dishes and get them put away. On Fridays I check in the food stock and put it away and did the weekly cleaning and rotating stock.
