Leonardo Dorathoto

I am the IT Director at Web Master Brasil, a company that develops software for large clients including FIFA, the São Paulo State Government, multiple municipalities and multinational corporations. I have over 30 years of experience in software development and more than 25 years in team leadership, new product evaluation, system migrations and infrastructure. I hold a degree in Computer Engineering, graduated top of my class with a GPA of 3.4 from a highly demanding program. I completed a postgraduate degree in Project Management at POLI–USP and an MBA in Technology for Business: AI, Data Science and Big Data from PUC-RS. My postgraduate thesis in AI, “Using chatbots to support questions and guidance in Project Management”, was recognized as one of the best theses of 2024 at USP. (USP — University of São Paulo — is widely regarded as the top university in Latin America and ranks among the top global universities; e.g., QS ranks USP #1 in Latin America, and CWUR places it at #118 worldwide in 2025.). I hold international certifications (Linux Foundation, Microsoft Certified Professional, Apache Foundation) and I am a Scrum Master. My technical expertise includes C#/.NET, Microsoft Azure, MS SQL Server, Windows Server, Python, and large-scale systems architecture. I led the development and management of a real-estate portal that became the 5th largest in Brazil, and created/managed a real-estate platform that was named Best in Brazil by VivaReal in 2015, achieving an NPS of 100% (national average 23%). Currently I lead the development of a nationally recognized public safety solution that integrates facial recognition, automatic license-plate recognition, graph-based analytics and LLM-powered AI, already deployed across multiple municipalities in Brazil. I have taught Machine Learning at the university level, covering applied AI techniques, algorithms and data-driven solutions — experience that strengthens my ability to turn technical knowledge into practical results and to develop high-performance technical teams. I am passionate about applied mathematics (especially linear algebra and numerical methods) and regularly support students and colleagues in mastering the mathematical foundations essential for AI, with a focus on clarity and practical application.
