Donny Raus

I started the podcast to give listeners a new perspective on life, uncover their heart's desires, and to inspire them to live their One Life.

I started Raus Coffee Company out of my passion for people and love for making coffee. Seeking to always improve the quality of my coffees has led me to understand different brewing and roasting systems, as well as, how to maximize the experience to the end consumer.

As the President of the Northeast Roasters Group I was responsible for organizing the annual roasters retreat for the Northeast Region. Each year I brought together the top minds in specialty coffee, educating more than 20+ specialty roasters on roasting methodology, coffee sourcing, processing, industry trends, and cupping protocol.

In 2007 I started the Connecticut Coffee Society (CCS), the largest and most active coffee education group in the country, educating consumers and coffee professionals on specialty coffee through the art of cupping.

During my time at Starbucks, I was one of the first in the country to earn the prestigious title of Coffee Master. During this time I created/maintained Starbuck's first comprehensive mailing list, was commended by the company's President, traveled throughout the region's stores presenting "Coffee Talk", an educational series on coffee preparation, and lead the region in coffee equipment sales.
