Cognitive coaching involves helping people understand how their thoughts and emotions affect their bodies, well-being, relationships, and work and leads to developing constructive thinking, emoting, and learning processes that help them reach their optimal potential. As a coach, I facilitate my clients' enhancements of their innate skills, self-awareness, understanding, and problem-solving abilities. Although this type of coaching is highly individualized, groups can benefit as well as individuals. Cognitive clarity and self-awareness reinforce holistic perceptions and understandings of others, as well as the conflict scenarios produced when we engage with them. It encourages physiological safety at home, school, and workplace by producing a more tolerant and compassionate culture. All of this translates to better health and well-being, greater productivity and creativity, less absenteeism and presenteeism at school and work, and the opportunity to achieve symbiotic outcomes in all conflict scenarios.

As a coach and ombuds, I aim to help clients produce healthy environments and cultures by uncovering personal, professional, and environmental issues and conflicts that are precluding them from reaching their goals. More than three decades of experience and research have shown me that my clients have the answers they need to move in their most positive direction. My gift is facilitation. I help them diagnose underlying issues and root causes, then we work together to develop productive, long-lasting solutions that foster enduring positive change.

With over 40 years working in and with various industries (distribution, manufacturing, construction, government, and NFPs), the cumulation of decades of advanced education and research in psychology, personality, and peacebuilding, and my new certification in mediation and ADR, I am intellectually, emotionally, and now professionally equipped to facilitate negotiations and conflict resolution in your organization. I look forward to sharing the best of what my life has had to offer to help organizations deal with and resolve internal and external conflict scenarios.

Most people underestimate the profound impact their thoughts and emotions have on their health, lifestyle, relationships, and careers. For better or worse, we cannot help but walk into the future our minds and hearts are preparing us for. In other words, unproductive thoughts and emotions lead to unproductive actions. Fear and doubt prevent us from moving forward. Truly negative and damaging feelings lower our self-esteem and self-worth, attracting situations that reinforce the same. Luckily, the reverse is true. Using over three decades of education and experience, I help clients develop lifelong mind-shift skills that override, heal, and or eradicate whatever thoughts and emotions are creating imbalance in their lives and bodies. I call this cognitive process, Positive Manipulation® (PM), and utilizing it immediately increases our potential. We convert emotions like anger into clarity and self-empowerment, anxiety into self-awareness and passion, and fear into confidence and peace of mind. Within a short-time using PM, my clients see a reduction in undo stress, increased cognitive function, improvements in their well-being, and healthier interactions in all their relationships. They become their own motivational "speaker," challenging themselves to be who they were truly meant to be.

My newest book, My Mini Book of Mighty Mantras, featuring MantraMouse® has been selling worldwide on Amazon and is a favorite giveaway among business owners and people who just want to help others stay positive. It is a daily tool that keeps every cell in our body in tune with our goals, desires, and human potential. It includes "Positive Manipulation®," a mental process that helps us improve our physical, emotional, and mental state of being so we can stay more in tune with our spiritual selves. This book also doubles as a wellness program, as it teaches energy manipulation and can improve office culture and morale. My first book entitled "The Ten Commandments of Divorce...How to leave your marriage without breaking up your family," (available on Amazon) was written to help co-parents keep the love and forgiveness through their divorce process and beyond for the sake of their children.

My first endeavor called, "Call on Me," is a healing song about surrendering from addiction. The second is called, "One Nation's Heart," and it is about unity for our country. I am especially proud of this piece, as it is my first attempt at producing and directing a music video. Working to create changes in the divorce process for the sake of our kids.

In the mid 1980s, I was determined to build a home when affordable options were scarce. Despite coming from a construction family, I was female and never brought into the business. Undaunted, I enrolled in night school and began courses in engineering, drafting, cost estimating, strength of materials, and construction management while securing land, financing, variances, and permits. Using that education, I designed and built a 2,300-square-foot home, uncovering my innate abilities in spatial planning, construction dynamics, and design flow. Soon after, I became one of Long Island’s first female general contractors, specializing in residential renovations, commercial offices, and school fit-outs. Over the years, my expertise expanded to wellness-based design, ergonomics and optimization of office and school furniture, green building practices, LEED certification, and Feng Shui principles, all of which revealed to me how our environments—home, school, and workplace—impact our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Without a truly healthy environment, we see loss of productivity, more absenteeism and presenteeism, "toxic" cultures, and intra- and inter-personal conflicts. After acquiring more education, including a BA in psychology, MA in Conflict Resolution, expanded knowledge of media psychology, traditional and transformational mediation, collective intentionality, and an accreditation as a Green Pro (USGBC), I now help organizations uncover, identify, and create plans to remediate energy-zapping environmental factors that prevent them from achieving optimal performance, peacebuilding, and success.

At the Inn Between we like to take a rest from the left and right commentary and just concentrate on what we can all agree on. We tackle issues without needing to put a political label on ourselves and our beliefs. It's just human to human talking about what we can each do to make our country better today than it was yesterday. Topics include all newsworthy trends and some unexpected topics that all bring more awareness to wellness.

As an appointee on the commission, I helped protect the public and the environment. I am a Green Pro, accredited by the USGBC and was instrumental in bringing LEED Certification to the Nassau County Planning Department. My goal on the commission was to make sure that Green practices were introduced on every project we approved. I took great pride in protecting the rights of home and business owners, to help maintain or increase existing property values, and to keep aesthetics and the public's safety a priority.

After 9/11, the construction industry came to a roaring hault. I saw it as an opportunity to move to NJ and became the V.P. of Sales and Marking for Nickerson School Furniture and Athletics. I was responsible for opening their NJ branch and developing new business, hiring sales reps, developing marketing campaigns, branding, and negotiating with vendors. In just 2 years, we saw 2 millions in sales, with hundreds of new clients throughout the state.

This Master's Degree involves a comprehensive study of the skills, methods, theory, and research needed to be an effective ombudsperson, conciliator, mediator, negotiator, and conflict resolution specialist. These skills and knowledge can be applied directly to police work, community interventions, political conciliation, education systems, human resources, labor relations, litigation, business negotiations, collaborative law, corporate culture, and conflict training facilitation.
