* My responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Perform engineering analysis and design of power systems for various facilities in the oil and gas industry * Conform designs of projects to the National Electric Code and other industry and client standards * Prepare and review one line diagrams, area classifications, grounding, electrical routing plans, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, cable and conduit schedules, area lighting, and various drawings for bid, permit, and/or construction packages * Conduct basic engineering calculations such as short circuit, load calculations, and voltage drop * Write equipment specification for transformers, motors, generators, motor control centers and high resistance grounding * Prepare project scope, cost, schedule, material cost estimates, and material take offs * Travel to various sites and facilities to conduct field inspections, walkthroughs, investigations, and as-builds for upgrades and modifications of existing equipment * Coordinate work with engineers, designers, and drafters of all engineering disciplines

* Review critical reports including protective relay calibrations, trip and functional tests, load tests, and battery tests * Utilize relay database software to maintain uniform and proper documentation of reports in compliance with NERC and WECC reliability standards * Read, mark-up, verify, and redraw single line, three-line, and wiring diagrams of various State Water Project facilities * Travel to various hydroelectric power plants to provide support for protective relay replacement and equipment specifications
