Donald Hackstaff

Antler Basin Ranch consists of approximately 280 acres and abuts the Bureau of Land Management around the south and western boundary, County Road 57 to the northwest, and private property owners to the southeast. Antler Basin Ranch is a wedding venue and rental. Like Hackstaff and Fraser River Ranches, Antler Basin is run with the common thread of being stewards of the land. Anter Basin Ranch actively works with Grand County and various other agencies through a Forest Management Plan to plant new beetle-resistant trees and remove fuel from the forest floor. We also work with Grand County and State agencies to better understand mountain lion, wolf, and bear habitat migration patterns, and our effects on one another. Mr. Hackstaff assisted with the design and build of an “off the grid” glamping tent as seen on the TV show Off the Grid on the DIY Network. The tent is a full-service one-bedroom with a full bath, fireplace, etc. Mr. Hackstaff processed it through the County and followed the Grand County code for development.

Partnering with engineers, contractors, homeowners, regulatory agencies, and water facility management to develop and install.

Hackstaff Ranch and Fraser River Ranch are combined and include approximately 320 acres including approximately 2 miles of the Fraser River. This ranch has been owned by the Hackstaff Partnership since 1989. Our philosophy as ranch owners is to be stewards of the land – maintaining both the land and water to the best of our abilities to ensure the wildlife and fish populations are healthy and given a chance to thrive.

Turnkey Development and Construction was a 3rd party development and construction company specializing in assisting national real estate firms with complex local development projects providing the resources required to develop commercial projects throughout Colorado.

A large real estate services firm with national ties, Frederick Ross has been in business since the early 1900s. Mr. Hackstaff’s primary focus was on large land development and industrial building leasing and sales.
