Oversee and direct safety programs for 40+ Site Network clinics globally.

Support the work of 2,500 employees in GMP laboratory research setting. EHS programs include Bloodborne Pathogens, Radiation Licensing and Hazardous Materials Disposal. Additional duties include ergonomic evaluations, Near Miss Reporting, Injury Investigation, and annual OSHA reporting. Interact effectively with all levels of the organization from support staff to executive management. Train and direct work of EHS Staff.

Updated New Employee Training and Respiratory Protection programs. Reduced Hazardous Waste disposal costs by 40% and wrote SOP for disposal procedures. Developed Near Miss Reporting tool for SharePoint use. This tool was later adopted by PPD corporate EHS for company wide use.

•Serve and is accountable for success of Chemical Hygiene Officer (CHO) •Provide technical guidance and with ability to teach others how to develop, implement and maintain EHS Programs and guide employees on how to perform their job responsibilities in a safe and healthy manner consistent with the Program. •Monitor local, state and federal regulatory matters and identifies and reports their impact on company goals and objectives and supports formulation of a response. •Participate in the completion of hazard assessments and reports or recommendations. •Analyze materials and equipment for risk and supports efforts to provide internal or external customers with recommendations to control such risk (i.e. substitution, engineering and administrative controls, and/or PPE). •Review use of particularly hazardous substances or equipment, support development of a response with the affected personnel and assist departments with compliance requirements. •Develop/facilitate/coordinate EHS related training. •Facilitate/participate in inspections and investigates of EHS related near miss incidents or events and works with departments to implement actions for improvement. •Monitor EH&S issues related to procurement, use, management and disposal of regulated materials. •Work with systems used to manage regulated materials. •Develop safe work practices, instructions and procedures for carcinogens, reproductive toxins, highly toxic substances, and substances with unknown toxicity.

2009-2010: Project work at numerous sites: Wal-Mart, Chrysler, General Motors 2006-2010: Onsite at General Motors Assembly Plant, Janesville, WI Track all solid waste, hazardous waste and recycling programs with emphasis on waste reduction and increasing recycling volume and revenue. Investigate new disposal outlets and calculated costs involved with change. Track monthly P&L report.
