A newly-launched clinical-stage biotechnology company of the University of Miami and Provectus Biopharmaceuticals focused on commercializing the Miller School of Medicine’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and its Ophthalmic Biophysics Center’s innovative ocular research using Provectus's bioactive synthetic small molecule and pharmaceutical-grade active pharmaceutical ingredient rose bengal sodium.

Provided management consulting and corporate development services. Project industries and technologies included defense (CVG, others), biotechnology (Provectus), capital markets/financial services (G42, Integress, Berkshire Bridge), and nanotechnology (PowerMetal).

Raised, made, and manage a multi-million dollar venture capital investment in PowerMetal Technologies, a supplier of high-performance nanomaterial-based sporting goods and consumer products and an affiliate of Toronto-based Integran Technologies, a creator of high-performance nanocrystalline metals and nanomaterials.

Authored a blog about the medical science of clinical-stage biotechnology company Provectus Biopharmaceuticals's lead molecule and active pharmaceutical ingredient rose bengal sodium. Blog readership grew from ~180 unique visitors, 1,625 page views, and 845 visits in Q4 2011 to ~12,500 visits, 134,000 views, and 60,000 visits in Q1 2014, averaging ~4,500 visits, 54,000 views, and 23,000 visits per quarter and totaling 1.5 million+ page views from Q4 2011 to Q1 2017.

Pursued funding for a growth and expansion capital investment fund from Nevada Capital Investment Corporation, which received money from the State of Nevada's Permanent School Fund, to make private equity/venture capital-style investments in Nevada companies. Berkshire Bridge's efforts to raise its fund were unsuccessful.

Designed and oversaw investment strategy (algorithmic-driven tactical asset allocation) and risk management for a start-up private wealth office (chief investment officer-type role). Registered as individuals and a firm with Whiterock Financial, a registered investment advisory firm, to offer investment management services to Integress clients.

Seed-funded and managed this capital markets-focused technology company (chief executive officer-type role). G42's team created an autonomous electronic securities trading system using adaptive algorithms running on custom-built hardware. The system generated robust return, risk, Jensen's alpha, Sharpe ratio, and other performance results. Created the business plan, financial model, and sales and marketing strategy. Developed fundraising materials and conducted investor pitches. Provided corporate strategy, structured and negotiated revenue relationships, evaluated and led acquisitions, coordinated a key U.S. federal government procurement effort, and oversaw the finance function for this U.S.-headquartered data communications solutions company.
