Dr. Mitchell serves as the Chief Medical and Clinical Transformation Officer for Presbyterian Healthcare Services, a large premier integrated health care delivery and financing system serving over 750,000 individuals annually including one of the nation's largest provider-led health plans, 9 hospitals, nearly 1000 employed providers and over 50 specialities at more than 100 clinics. Dr. Mitchell continues to actively practice medicine and is board certified in both Family Medicine and Clinical Informatics. Notably, he also leads the enterprise population health department and transformation to a value based care model.

Directly lead a $30 million project transforming a large paper based multispeciality medical group to a highly standardized, process oriented, and fully automated system. Strategic development of optimization work plan aligning revenue cycle and clinical operations with enterprise strategic plan. Matching resources and efforts to ensure enterprise outcomes and impact to board level metrics.

Served as the medical director for a 45 physician multi-speciality clinic ensuring clinical quality, cohesive teams, and continued learning of practitioners.

Developed marketing and business strategy for a $100 million/year Laboratory point-of-care equipment vendor. This effort included marketing materials, sales workforce training, return on investment model, and allowed the company to increase sales during drastic cuts to reimbursement for point-of-care testing.

Served as the Medical Director for a unique 80 physician not-for-profit locum tenens organization that provided a cumulative of over 800 days of care a month. Directly managed the physician group made up of both academic faculty as well as residents. Provided direct patient care in urban and rural hospitals, emergency departments, and ambulatory practices.
