Participated as senior backend engineer, technical lead and solution architect on several projects for various New Zealand companies. Performed analysis of integration layer for one of the biggest NZ FMCG companies and helped them to significantly reduce the volume of code base for integration microservices and improve the quality of code. Designed and implemented a data access layer on the data ingestion side of the core banking platform. The layer helped to boost the speed of the development of data ingestion services and eased the addition of new data streams. Implemented scalable data validation service. Built CI pipelines for data ingestion services. Contributed to the implementation of data ingestion services and data storage. The overall amount of achievements helped to successfully deploy data ingestion into production, run it without any breakdowns and easily extend the functionality to accommodate new data streams. Performed the review of API implementation for banking data product. Provided a set of recommendation for speeding up the performance (10-30% on synthetic tests) and optimisation of resource consumption (approximately 50% less of RAM). Developed solution architecture for data warehouse replacement for transport company. Developed architecture for user and access management solution for payment processing company. Interview candidates for back-end engineering roles, develop new practical assignments for candidates and refine interviewing process in general. Research and advise new technologies in Java technical stack.

Set up and control of software development practices and processes, research and consolidation of technology stack used for software development in the company. Led teams up to 5 developers. Designed and led the implementation of core microservices for Education NZ to support agency's websites, marketing automations, CDP and analytics. Designed, implemented and maintained data synchronisation layer for in-house healthcare coaching platform and GP practice management system. Designed, implemented and maintained loyalty program integration and marketing automations for PlaceMakers and Mico. Designed, implemented and maintained integrations to support E-Commerce platform and marketing automation for Green Cross Health (Life Pharmacy and Unichem pharmacies). Designed and led the implementation of integration layer for onboarding pharmacy customers to prescription reminder service.

Designed and implemented the core company product for monitoring and management of data center environment with the following main features: ● pluggable support for various industrial equipment, ● virtually infinite scalability for handling any amount of input and output devices, ● flexible, rule-based triggers for handling alerts and errors, ● REST-based API for integration with external systems.

Converted an idea of weather forecast application into a ready-to-use product. Created functional specs and introduced several features not existing in competing products at that time. Managed stakeholder expectations. Created and maintained development roadmap. Designed and implemented a distributed backend for processing of weather forecast data. Researched and integrated weather forecast software to produce high-resolution microscale forecasts and forecasts-on-demand. Implemented REST-based interface for mobile client. Provided technical leadership for the project team.

Developing multi-tier system for accounting of digital content usage with technical focus on Java 6, Maven 2, Spring framework (Core, JDBC, MVC, Security), JMX, servlets, JavaMail, Apache MINA, Google protocol buffers, JBoss AS, PostgreSQL, HSQLDB. Various consulting stuff related to software development processes.

Participated as lead Java developer in implementation of multi-tier system for managing of network of self-service informational kiosks. Contributed to analysis, requirements definition, architecture, design and development of core modules of the system. Prior to that participated in several projects, related to financial and telecommunication industry, digital content management and mobile entertainment applications.

Contributed to SeeVoice product family. Implemented client-side applications for FOMA and BREW mobile platforms. Designed and developed supporting server-side functionality for monitoring, usage stats gathering and analysis. Ported image processing algorithms to J2ME platform. Implemented MMS encoding and decoding functionality for MMS-enabled PSTN phones.
