* ARMY NATIONAL GUARD * Combat Medic (68 Whiskey) Level 30 * Administer emergency medical treatment to injuries during training; rotate through multiple hospitals in different States with Army. * Conduct Battalion Annual Physical Health Assessments; educate Soldiers on Health Prevention. * Manage Soldier's medical readiness, medical supplies and equipment. * Clinical Rotations at different hospitals on variety of speciality floors – OR, ICU, ED, Med Surge * Provided individualized care consistent with the plan of care under the direction and supervision of the RN. * Partook in interdisciplinary team meetings and discussed assigned patients. * Prioritized care by performing focus assessment of the admitting diagnosis with current immediate needs. * Utilized interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with the medical community; earned phlebotomy experience. * Assess patient vitals and take lab specimens for testing. * Work with women from puberty to geriatric ages and educate on routine care and ways to improve overall health and well-being with exercise, diet, and other optimal life choices. * Help pregnant patients with exercises to manage weight gain and ensure optimal fetal health. * Assist doctors with in-office surgeries and non-invasive procedures.
