Led finance process transformation for nine markets in Asia Pacific region. As country head of Finance team, set up the entire finance operations process for Korea market, including financial budgeting, planning, internal control, and all regulatory filings. Responsible for Korea P&L and operational excellence, recruited and led a team of six people. Key Responsibilities & Achievements: • Set up the local bottom-up budgeting and forecasting processes. • Set monthly sales targets and opex saving targets partnering with General Manager, Directors of Enterprise Sales and Building Operation. • Reviewed new investment proforma for lease execution and provided new pricing. • Created cross-functional Opex and Capex spend tracking tools. • Set up monthly closing reviews and revenue reconciliation process. • Implemented risk-based AR reporting and adopted collection agency process. • Supervised new business registrations and new legal entity set-ups. • Reviewed tax filings and defended tax positions against challenges from tax authorities. • Set up an intercompany service agreement structure to comply with tax regulations.

Function: FP&A / Global Tax • Led annual budgeting, monthly forecast and provided input for North Asia consolidation. • Provided variance analysis on sales, GP margin, and new project performance. • Provided new product pricing and track three-year performance. • Developed a tax simulation tool to accurately forecast income allocation between Korea and Singapore as per APA tax structure. • Prepared and filed corporate income tax returns, VAT returns and withholding tax returns of 6 legal entities at the absence of team. • Defended 3 tax audits, by reducing exposure by 75% in one of them. • Supported data for external audits and provided transfer pricing adjustments as per APA for 3 legal entities.

Function: Controlling / AR & AP Prepared monthly forecasting, KPI reporting, closing report package, AR and credit management and internal audit for seven legal entities in Middle East and North Africa. Key Responsibilities & Achievements: • Provided monthly rolling forecast on sales and marketing expense and KPI reports. • Monitored daily AR balance and maintained customer credit status in in-house system. • Increased customer credit by USD 124mil. by adopting trade insurance on high-risk L/Cs. • Designed process improvement for fraud prevention and provided employee training in Pakistan, Egypt and Jordan subsidiaries.

Function: External Audit / Corporate Tax • Prepared and filed corporate income tax returns and tax accounting for statutory reports. • Prepared local statutory reports through GAAP conversion for MNC clients. • Delivered K-GAAP to K-IFRS conversion assignments. • Delivered audit tests for annual external audit engagements and reviewed internal controls.
