* Over 600,000 Myanmar’ Rohingya refugees arrived to Bangladesh between September and October 2017 * they created makeshift camps in the hills, which have no infrastructure or supply access. I was assigned to put a food supply chain system in place, delivering over 5k tons of food twice a month to over 860k people. This required engineering efforts on building river crossings, access roads and distribution points * establishment of supply bases * dispatching/delivering 1 truckload of food every 5 minutes during the distribution cycle * and very close coordination with the military, authorities and humanitarian actors. Besides managing a full SC, engineering and coordination teams, I defined WFP’s engagement strategies for: creation of SC structure and supply network * the public works platform in support of camp management * and prepared detailed plan for the supply operations during the incoming wet season worth $17m, with a very short implementation lead time.
