During my post I taught English as a foreign language to students from all over the world at varying abilities. Alongside this I also supported the schools activity schedule taking lead in the drama/dance programs

Coordinated the outreach programme to Kenya to raise vital funds to enable the efficient running of their school. This included new reading books, equipment for teachers and care packages of gifted supplies from Abbey School Students. Last year, this effort raised £907.87 for the school, alongside all the gift supplies. This role involved coordination across multiple levels of the school hierarchy as well as time and event management. I lead a small group of 6th form students as a core team to ensure that our objectives were met.

My main responsibility was to support potential customers through the sales process providing them with excellent customer service, and product knowledge. Additionally I was also given the opportunity to train new staff members through the stores processes.

Cloud9 Promotions is a welfare oriented, student focused night club events team. I worked for the company for a total of one year. The main objective of my role was to promote the events both online and throughout Canterbury. Additionally I was also given the opportunity to work inside the late night venue tending the register at the door and being in charge of the guest list.

The role I undertook at Education first was a seasonal position that lasted the summer of both 2014 and 2015. In the role I worked alongside co-leaders to organize and produce an entertaining itinerary for students from all over the world, whilst doing this ensure a high level of customer service is achieved throughout the entire process. Over the course of the two summers with EF I met and managed over 250 students, whose feedback was outstanding The key aspects of the role included; Assisting with both arrivals and departures Conducting daily meetings with students after lessons to communicate information regarding activity choices, meeting times and places and upcoming events. Attending and running all activities with the group including excursions to a variety of different locations

The main purpose of my role is to organise and ensure that the University is represented at a number of higher education and careers fairs and promote Canterbury Christ Church University generally. Additionally to going out to schools and I have created a number of resources and events to encourage students to visit the campus and have a taster of student life. Within our team I also work alongside our events coordinator in assisting with our larger scale events such as Open/Applicant days, Postgraduate evenings and Clearing Events, additionally to large scale corporate events I liaise with a number of schools to run bespoke campus visits for smaller numbers of school/college students.In order for these events to run successfully I organise, risk assess, manage a number of student helpers and deliver talks and interactive workshops. I have a strong understanding of higher education issues, giving workshops and talks on a number of key areas including personal statements, student finance the UCAS application process and finally Student Life.

The Outreach Team work to provide equal opportunities to young individuals who have the potential to reach higher education, but may not consider it as an option because of a number of reasons including their financial situation, lack of understanding in the process or that higher education is for the elitest. My role was to assist the project officers in delivering a number of activities to their partner schools. Some of which included extra tuition in maths, aspiration raising activities and an academic residential summer school.

I have recently been accepted to complete a psychology conversion masters degree starting this September (2016)

During my education at CCCU, my subject interest was split between two core areas Psychology and Forensic Investigation. I had a broad area of interest in both topics however Forensic Psychology absorbed my curiosity. I completed a dissertation which included both aspects of my degree but more specifically focusing on the understanding of children in court cases. I undertook extensive research into children's eyewitness testimonies and how they can effect the outcome of an individuals sentence. Although my education took priority whilst at university I endeavoured to take part in a number of extra curricular activities, the result of this lead to an entanglement into the Students Union. The activities that became involved with where Presidency of the Women's Football club for one year, as well as taking part in both Show Choir and Performance Society. Finally I have recently confirmed my place to continue my studies at Canterbury to study a taught Masters degree in Psychology Activities and Societies: President of The Women's Football Team, Show Choir, Performance Society
