Dipak Sheth MD

Dr Sheth is a US trained, board certified physician with 9+ years of experience in Drug safety (Pharmacovigilance) with major pharma and extensive experience as a full-time faculty in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Tulane University and George Washington University. During more than 9 years in the pharmaceutical industry in patient safety pharmacovigilance, Dr. Sheth has worked both in the clinical and postmarketing pharmacovigilance for products marketed worldwide including US, and the EU. His activity has always been patient centric. Dr. Sheth joined as a Medical Reviewer and a Medical Monitor for clinical trial phase 1 and 2 the CRO for Division of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (DMID), a division within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) that funds and supports research to develop new vaccines, diagnostics, and treatments for infectious diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. He subsequently worked as a Safety Evaluation and Risk Management physician (Medical Director) for Pandemic Flu vaccine and Seasonal Flu vaccine at GSK vaccine division. He closely worked with the CHMP division of EMA to provide safety profile of pandemic flu vaccine. He was subsequently recruited to monitor safety profile of Covid19 vaccine in both clinical and postmarking areas at AstraZeneca. He has authored many regulatory submissions at EMA and chaired the signal management committee. At Sanofi he has monitored safety profile of drug in clinical trial to treat patients with Hemophilia and now monitors a drug to treat a rare disease marketed globally and Thyroid cancer drugs.
