About
I am a higher education leader with more than 20 years of experience across financial aid, admissions, and enrollment management. Most recently, I served as Director of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships for Scholarships at North Carolina A&T State University, where I worked with academic leadership, advancement, and finance teams to strengthen scholarship strategy, improve coordination across campus, and ensure institutional, foundation, and endowed resources are used intentionally to support recruitment, retention, and student success. Throughout my career at North Carolina A&T, Wake Forest University, and Davidson College, I have aligned financial aid strategy with enrollment goals, supporting access for first-generation and underrepresented students while maintaining fiscal accountability. I specialize in translating policy into practice and building operational processes that improve both institutional effectiveness and the student experience. My work also includes building partnerships with foundations and community-based organizations to expand scholarship access and strengthen college affordability pathways for students. My professional interests center on how institutional systems shape student outcomes and how colleges can design clearer, more coordinated pathways for students navigating admission, financial aid, and persistence. I am particularly interested in work and leadership opportunities that strengthen coordination across enrollment, financial aid, and scholarship strategy to improve access, affordability, and institutional effectiveness. In addition to my professional work, I am also the author of books exploring financial aid, scholarships, and college affordability for both higher education professionals and families navigating the college decision process.
