Postbaccalaureate Research Fellow (PREP Fellow)
Cold Spring Harbor, New York, United States
The NIGMS-funded Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP) at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL-PREP) aims to prepare its scholars for matriculation into biomedical and research-focused doctoral degree programs. CSHL-PREP provides rigorous research experiences, alongside extensive mentoring, coursework, and professional and skills development workshops. Learn more at: https://www.cshl.edu/education/prep/ A research associateship funded by CSHL-PREP. Currently working under the mentorship of Dr. Lucas Cheadle and Dr. Irene Sanchez Martin (CSHL Neuroscience). The Cheadle laboratory seeks to explore the neuro-immune mechanisms of brain development, plasticity, and function. Learn more at: https://www.cheadlelab.com/home

Undergraduate Research Assistant
Rochester Institute of Technology, Biomedical Engineering Department
Rochester, New York Metropolitan Area
Conducted research in the NanoBio Materials laboratory as a lab assistant working on the analysis of the basement membrane of the blood-brain barrier by using a novel lab-on-chip model currently under development. Presently focusing on data validation by protein extraction, immunostaining, & immunoblotting under the guidance of Biomedical Engineer, Professor Thomas Gaborski.

Undergraduate Learning Assistant
Rochester, New York, United States
Program in which student employees take a Pedagogical course in student learning and participate in previously enrolled courses working collaboratively with course faculty. I have provided support in Molecular Modeling & Proteomics (Spring 2023), Human Genetics (Fall 2022), the STEM Education: Research and Practice pedagogy course (Spring 2022), Molecular Biology (Fall 2021), and the Introductory to Biology I Laboratory (Spring 2021) course.

Summer Research Assistant
Rochester, New York, United States
Participated in a 10-week summer research experience for undergraduates at the University of Rochester. Conducted photonics research as a lab assistant investigating the applications of photonic integrated circuits as biosensing tools within an in-vitro lab-on-a-chip blood-brain barrier model. The research focused on both determining the experimental variability of this microfluidic device and integrating ring resonators into this model as biosensing tools. All tasks were accomplished under the guidance of Professor Benjamin Miller.

Undergraduate Research Assistant
Rochester Institute of Technology, Chemistry Department
Rochester, New York, United States
Conducted research as a lab assistant on the synthesis of prostate targeted contrast agents with Gadolinium-based chelation complexes to produce High Relaxivity Targeted Molecular Imaging Agents under the guidance of organic chemist, Professor Hans Schmitthenner.
