About
More at: www.dillonstonetatum.com I am an Assistant Professor at Francis Marion University in the Department of Political Science and Geography. I hold MAs in Middle East Studies, and Political Science, as well as a Ph.D. from GWU. My research is focused on the changing practice of military intervention—with specific interest in interventions aimed at changing the domestic institutions of the target. My current book project, " Liberalism and Transformation: The Changing Practice of Military Intervention, 1848 to 2014," examines the role that ideological changes in Western liberalism have played in shaping intervention practices since the mid-nineteenth century. My research has been presented at several academic conferences. I have also published short pieces/opinion pieces in outlets such as Salon.com and e-International Relations.
