Litigated civil business and labor matters in court including drafting pleadings, opposing motions and arguing on behalf of client. Conducted research and analysis on numerous issues of law and drafted memoranda in connection with same. Met with clients to discuss legal strategy and provide advice.

Responsible for the Legal function of the European region (which includes 21 countries, excluding the UK). Member of the Executive Committee of AIG Europe SA, and Company Secretary, with responsibility for governance in the region. In this role I am responsible for the compliance of the company to laws and regulation and of the relationship with the regulatory authorities.

* Responsible for advising the function heads, and other executives on strategic initiatives and legal matters. * Anticipates issues and facilitates solutions to legal challenges in support of business growth and ensures the proper and complete handling of all legal matters through in-house legal resources and outside counsel. * Represents the Company with governments and regulatory bodies (such as, for example, IVASS). * Manages internal legal team, and the relationship with external counsel representing AIG in Italy. * Overviews all corporate governance matters, participating as member of the Senior Management meeting, and to other internal committees. * Participates as member of the board of director of AIG Advisors, an Italian insurance agency which belongs to AIG group.
