- To implement and execute the guidelines for the development of assistance for foreign trade, in accordance with the government's technical cooperation policy and in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Peruvian Agency of International Cooperation. - To identify, channel and articulate the opportunities of assistance for the development of foreign trade, which contribute to the better performance of the functions of the Viceministry of Foreign Trade. - To participate and represent the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism in international trade negotiations and trade integration processes in matters of cooperation for foreign trade. Spokesman of the Pacific Alliance in the negotiation of the economic and trade cooperation chapter with the Candidates to Associated States (Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Singapore). Member of the cooperation team in the negotiation of the Peru-India FTA. To formulate, coordinate and execute the actions related to the implementation, evaluation, monitoring and administration of international trade agreements and economic and social cooperation agreements, in matters of cooperation for foreign trade. Focal / contact point for Peru in the Committees related to cooperation in the FTAs in force (i.e. U.S, China, others). - To formulate agreements and similar documents to execute projects, programs and activities prioritized in the framework of assistance for foreign trade. - To monitor and evaluate the execution and results of the agreements, projects, programs and activities related to foreign trade financed with international cooperation; - To seek the observance of the trade commitments assumed by Peru, within the scope of assistance for foreign trade.

-To formulate, coordinate and execute the actions related to the negotiation, implementation, evaluation, monitoring and administration of international trade agreements and economic and social cooperation agreements, in matters of cooperation for foreign trade. Spokesman of the Pacific Alliance in the negotiation of the economic and trade cooperation chapter with the Candidates to Associated States (Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Singapore). - To participate in the processes of negotiation of cooperation agreements with different donors (domestic, bilateral, regional or multilateral). - To identify and manage the resources for funding and implementing the projects related to foreign trade. - To elaborate the operative plans, guidelines and management reports associated with the planning and programming of projects related to subscribed cooperation agreements. - To formulate agreements and similar documents to execute projects, programs and activities prioritized in the framework of assistance for foreign trade. - To coordinate with donors the disbursement of resources and other aspects related to the execution of agreements. - To support national or foreign investment initiatives targeted to the development of export projects, in coordination with relevant bodies, in the framework of assistance for foreign trade.

- To coordinate the proper implementation and administration of the WTO multilateral trade agreements and the participation of Peru in the WTO subsidiary bodies. - Focal point and coordinator for the reviews of Peru's FTAs in the WTO. - To coordinate the national strategy and position in the multilateral trade negotiations, including to coordinate and analyze the proposals to be submitted by Peru and submitted by other WTO members on the different topics discussed in the context of these negotiations. - To coordinate the activities related to the WTO dispute settlement mechanism. - To coordinate the fourth Trade Policy Review of Peru in the WTO and the questions on the trade policy review of the other members of the Organization. - To coordinate the implementation of national technical assistance and training activities on issues related to the multilateral trading system, through the cooperation of the WTO or other related-sources of cooperation. -To coordinate the work of the Vice Ministry of Foreign Trade at the multilateral level, in general, in order to ensure the coherence of the activities in the WTO with the activities of other international organizations and forums. -To monitor, and prepare reports on, the implementation and administration of trade agreements of the WTO multilateral trade negotiations, the dispute settlement mechanism, among others. -To support on WTO issues in the processes of regional and bilateral integration. - To participation in international senior officials' meetings and ministerial meetings, within the multilateral framework. - Member of the negotiating team in trade remedies (antidumping, subsidies and countervailing measures, safeguards). - Chief negotiator in the trade remedies table in the negotiations with Thailand and Turkey and the negotiations of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement. -Coordinator of the National Multisectoral Group on fisheries subsidies.

-To coordinate the work of the Vice Ministry of Foreign Trade at the multilateral level, specially in the WTO. -To monitor, and prepare reports on, the multilateral trade negotiations and the permanent activities of the WTO. - To coordinate the national strategy and position in the multilateral trade negotiations, including to coordinate and analyze the proposals to be submitted by Peru and submitted by other WTO members on the different topics discussed in the context of these negotiations. - To analyze, evaluate and propose the negotiating strategies on the priority issues of Peru at the WTO. - To analyze and monitor the priority trade issues of Peru in the WTO (Agriculture, NAMA, rules, services, intellectual property, etc.), as well as the proposals from other countries on these issues. -To monitor and evaluate the implementation of the WTO Agreements in Peru. -To support on WTO issues in the processes of regional and bilateral integration (APEC, Andean Community, FTAs) - To support the Trade Remedies negotiating team, in the different negotiating processes (multilateral, regional, bilateral). - Chief negotiator in the trade remedies table in the negotiations with Thailand and the negotiations of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement. - Member of the trade remedies negotiating team in the negotiations with EU, Japan and Korea. -Coordinator of the National Multisectoral Group on fisheries subsidies.
