The Center for Autism & Related Disabilities, based at the University of Miami and Nova Southeastern University, is one of seven state-funded, university-based outreach and support centers in Florida dedicated to the goal of optimizing the potential of autistic individuals and those with related disabilities.

The Disability Inclusion and Advocacy Law (DIAL) Clinic at Nova Southeastern University College of Law introduces law students to legal practice advocating for the civil rights of persons with disabilities. The DIAL Clinic’s advocacy focuses on its clients’ well-being, dignity, and psychological health. In the DIAL Clinic, students engage in the full range of lawyering tasks, including conducting intakes, interviewing potential clients, negotiation and dispute resolution, administrative complaints, trials, policy advocacy, and other aspects of the legal profession. Students learn about procedural, practical and ethical elements that arise from discrimination in the areas of housing, employment, public accommodations, government services, and probate matters.

Acted as General Counsel for ILUMNO, an education and technology services company, and led internal and external legal teams throughout several countries in Latin America. Served as advisor to company senior executives and directors with respect to all legal and regulatory matters. Oversaw the stock and stock option administration, contract administration, acquisitions and divestitures, and compliance and risk management functions within the organization. Experience negotiating and drafting a broad range of agreements as well as managing and overseeing a variety of litigation.

Served as General Counsel for eLandia International, Inc. (OTC BB: ELAN), a U.S. public technology and telecommunications company with operations in Latin America and the South Pacific, with responsibility over all legal and regulatory matters for the Company and its subsidiaries.

Member of the Carlton Field’s corporate & tax department where I worked with various public and private companies on domestic and international transactions including entity formation and governance, equity and debt financing, mergers and acquisitions, securities matters and other commercial transactions.
