Supervised, designed and launched dynamic and positive strategies to sustain program development and implementation. I worked with a diverse group, established partnerships and collaborations with organizations to subsidized employees, saving the organization thousands of dollars. I managed and recruited staff and volunteers for our programs. I was involved in a lot of problem solving to analyze and overcome the budgetary needs of the small non-profit. While in this position I implemented and created a nutritional component to our soccer training session. I also created and maintained the organizations website through the use of Netscape composer. I collaborated in the creation of advertisement for the program with logos, pamphlets, and fliers using Photoshop and Publisher. Coordinated, developed and organized the annual Gala fundraiser for the program.

Traveled the length of the Greater Everglades viewed various restoration projects and learned about environmental management and mitigation processes. Managed and executed the rehabilitation of a wetland in a science museum for the further education and protection of the Everglades. Assessed best management practices and delivered public comment to distinct audiences in government and public meetings.

Supervised well drilling for groundwater sampling and testing. Assisted in management and coordination of Biscayne National Park’s water monitoring program of over 50 Y.S.I. instruments on sites within the Park’s waters. Participated in planning and execution of field work which involves field safety planning, small boat operations, diving and maintenance of sites. Acted as facilitator with partners and contractors.

Research Apprentice, Friday Harbor Laboratories (FHL), University of Washington, 2005 Investigated the physical-biological coupling of oceanographic processes and biota in the San Juan Archipelago. Conducted independent research with final oral presentation and written report titled “Spatial and temporal variations of chlorophyll in the San Juan Islands, WA.” Participated in oceanographic cruises on RV Centennial, San Juan Archipelago, WA. University of Washington (Sept-Dec 2005 six one-day cruises)

Conducted microbiology and genetic research on Myeloid cell regulation to better understand onset of Leukemia. Generated new and publishable data on the Homeobox Protein Hex and the regulation of the C-Kit Promoter using molecular techniques such as Northern and Western Blots, DNA purification, PCR amplification, cell transformations and transfections. Reported final findings with a power point public presentation to doctors, professors and peers. Awarded- The Minority Biomedical Research Support Program 2004

Serve as manager of various ecological, land use and public involvement services for public- and private-sector clients, with responsibilities including data collection and analysis, GIS mapping, report writing, and oversight of compliance timetables and budgets.
