Supervised six voting centers, reporting about opening and closing procedures, vote counting and filed claims as a member of the Electoral Observation Mission for the presidential election runoff in Colombia.

Technical support on the formulation of Expressions of Interest and Proposals for development projects (mainly on TVET) presented to the WB, ADB, USAID and MCC. Specific countries: Uzbekistan, El Salvador, Georgia, Sri Lanka, China, DR Congo and Angola.

In charge of producing the first publication that measured the level of progress of President Mauricio Funes’ campaign promises and country’s strategic direction, by collecting and analyzing data and conducting interviews. The findings were reported on front pages of major newspapers and opinion articles. Since then, FUSADES publishes a yearly assessment of the President that holds office, presenting a vertical accountability document to the Salvadoran society and other stakeholders. Researched the law of political parties and the modernization of the electoral authority, pushing the agenda in civil society groups and additionally writing bulletins and memorandums on political reform topics, as a result of new Constitutional Court’s rulings, in which El Salvador began a transition of political reforms in 2010.

We have an evolving reform agenda that seeks to increase our development impact in the region.While we are a regular bank in many ways, we are also unique in some key respects. Besides loans, we also provide grants, technical assistance and do research. Our shareholders are 48 member countries, including 26 Latin American and Caribbean borrowing members, who have a majority ownership of the IDB.Given our shareholder base and prudent management, we have a strong financial position. As a result, the IDB is able to borrow in international markets at competitive rates and transfer that benefit to our clients in 26 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
