Started as an international student in 1996 at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. Graduated in 2000 and began the engineering career as a Quality Engineer for USConec, a Fiber Optic Company in Hickory, NC. To expand the knowledge and skills previously acquired joined RSI in 2005 as a process engineer. Learning to work under pressure in a fast pace environment, led multiple projects, from process improvement to capital implementation and various lean process transformations. Advancing into a leadership role, moved to operation in 2010, leading a challenging team toward success utilizing robust data analysis, continuous improvements, cross-trainings and operators involvements. Managed the daily operation of a 30-operator team operating industrial size saw, drilling, CNC, and recycling process. The responsibilities included safety management of the team, daily scheduling, productivity management, and the management of operator skill analysis, growth and advancement plans. Accomplishments include the implementation of SMED in the multi-spindle drilling process, reducing a shift-long change-over to less than one hour, and the implementation of a visual factory accountability board that allowed cross-shift communication and schedule adherence.
