I am currently a member of the Golden Key as I was placed as one of the top 15% of students who attained high grades, and a member of CUInSpace club at Carleton Univeristy. In addition to being a member of Golden Key, I was also a member of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets for 4 years and achieved a rank of Warrant Officer 2nd class before leaving the organization. While being a member of these organizations and studying Aerospace Engineering at Carleton for two years, I have acquired great knowledge and skills to help me solve problems. I am experienced in SolidWorks by desigining multiple hybrid rocket engine profiles for possible use in the upcoming rocket competition. In addition to using SolidWorks, I also have some experience in utilizing Onshape CAD software and drawing isometric concept sketches. I have also drawn fully-defined orthographic images in AutoCad by using specific tools such as orthogonal, DIM, and offset tools for my engineering classes. With AutoCAD, I have solved many engineering problems such as calculating the distance between two falling objects using MatLab and Dev C++ . I have also used MatLab and Dev C++ for finding roots of derived equations by either utilizing bisection method, reguli falsi method or Newton-Raphson method. I also solved optimization problems using the Golden search method in MatLab for one of my core engineering courses. Furthermore, I utilized MatLab to find best fit for a given data and interpolate/extrapolate between the given data. With the desinging experience, I am also skilled in analytical thinking. I solved many preliminary mechanical-related problems by using principles of force equilibrium, conservation of energy and mass principle, principle of linear impulse and linear momentum, conservation of linear momentum, principles of angular impulse and angular momentum, and conservation of angular momentum, and the first law of thermodynamics for open and closed systems.
