Oversees ethically compliant research activities and regulatory approvals, leads research quality assurance, audit, compliance, and risk management programs, and ensures effective corrective and preventive actions with clear reporting to senior stakeholders. Manages institutional research compliance obligations, internal audits across human and non-human research, biosafety, sample management, and research agreements, and serves as the institutional liaison with the Ministry of Public Health for IACUC and IBC approvals. Develops and maintains research policies, procedures, and SOPs, ensuring robust governance, regulatory alignment, and continuous monitoring of research processes and performance. Provides strategic leadership for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive Research Quality Management System, ensuring full compliance with Qatar laws, international quality standards, and institutional policies and core values.

Projects involved: 1) Revealing the genetic causes of severe early-onset obesity in the Qatari population. A QU-Sidra Hospital collaborative QNRF project 2) Establishment of Biobank, Registry and Genetic makeup of patients with cardiac Heart defects and familial Cardiomyopathies. 3) Assessing the genetic and autoimmune landscape of epilepsy in the region 4) Observation of Multi-center Quality Improvement Project: Improving Safety and Quality of Tracheal Intubation Practice in Pediatric ICUs.
