I was taught by my parents to look at life as something to be lived and always have a sense of humour. They also drummed into me that the only limitations we have are those we impose upon ourselves. This, together with their love and support has always given me the strength and conviction to never give up and to always believe that, ‘Yes I can!’ My life is all about family and friends and everything I do, everything I am begins and ends with them. I have been very blessed with both and I like to think my business reflects them as well as my own personal vision. My friends and certainly my family inspire me daily with their quirky, sometimes zany and ever present sense of fun and I find this inspiration has grown to encompass the people I work with, many of whom I have relationships with that go back to the early years of the company. We have worked together and grown together and I like to think I may have helped them as much as they have helped me. I founded Desti Saint Handbags in Singapore with a passionate desire to provide people just like me with beautiful, well made handbags. I genuinely love design, blending colours, fabrics and leathers and then adding detail in the shape of tassels, jade carvings or symbolic emblems for love and happiness. I strive to use fabrics and ornaments that have been hand made or locally produced and as my company has grown I am delighted I have been able to support local artisans and workshops. I strongly believe my brand is organic. Although firmly rooted in and inspired by the energy of Asia, its dynamic changes all the time but will always and forever reflect the people and places I love most.
