While in this departmental COO / CAO role was responsible for ensuring an effective operating and control environment across a multi-site equity, fixed income and derivatives asset management organization. Defined critical business priorities, focused resources and aligned performance measurements and compensation with business goals. Worked with Risk and Compliance to address audit findings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

While on this 3.5 year international assignment, managed trade services, portfolio support, investment operations, fund accounting and NAV reporting, client reporting, regulatory reporting, data quality, Information Technology infrastructure and application development line areas. After the Deutsche Bank acquisition I worked with regional C-suite executives to analyze and recommend a new business strategy for the combined Japanese asset management and trust banking organization. The strategy involved outsourcing the trust operation and focusing on the investment management aspect of the business.

Managed a multi-site retirement services & 401(k) recordkeeping, client service and new client on-boarding operation with 175+ employees. Actively contributed to strategic planning, IT strategy, product development, pricing, sales support, managing client relationships, public relations and facilities management. Sponsored and lead technology and business process improvements; worked to outsource non-core services.

440 Financial was a financial services outsourcing company (a start-up) that provided fund accounting, fund administration, transfer agency, print/mail, fullfilment, telemarketing, fund distribution, compliance and 401(k) retirement services recordkeeping to mutual fund, bank, insurance, RIA and asset management firms. In this role I managed a multi-site 401(k) retirement services recordkeeping operation that also included new client on-boarding, client servicing and ERISA compliance functions.

440 Financial was a financial services outsourcing company (a start-up) that provided fund accounting, fund administration, transfer agency, print/mail, fullfilment, telemarketing, fund distribution, compliance and 401(k) retirement services recordkeeping to mutual fund, bank, insurance, RIA and asset management firms. In this role I managed a team of systems development professionals implementing custom and packaged software solutions.

Conducted business analysis, developed software, executed user acceptance tests, maintained production systems and lead small teams as we supported and enhanced custom and packaged software applications.

While in a technology role maintained and enhanced custom and packaged software applications supporting the bank's outsourced institutional services group; primarily mutual fund and corporate stock transfer services. While in an operations role functioned as a project manager overseeing special projects outsourced to the bank's institutional services group which includied securities stock transfer, corporate actions, proxy voting, etc.

Managed the Investment Operations Group servicing the muni-bond, taxable-fixed income, FX, equity and deriviatives teams. Oversaw the Middle Office Broker/Dealer group servicing Nuveen's SMA business. Supported open and closed-end mutual funds, SMA, CIT, UIT, institutional and sub-advisory accounts.
