Curtin Sarawak Malaysia Leadership & Entrepreneurship Centre develops socially responsible graduates who enact positive change in their communities by supporting students’ leadership development.Students undertake co-curricular leadership development training and further develop their skills and abilities through working on real community projects. The program is based on the three values exemplified by former Australian Prime Minister, John Curtin – Leadership, Vision and Community Service.John Curtin Leadership Academy is a leadership program delivered by University Life and Leadership & Entrepreneurship Centre. Our focuses are leadership, vision and community service. Participation in the JCLA program enhances the student experience and provides students with a range of opportunities including developing leadership skills, improving employment prospects and the rewarding satisfaction of giving back to the community.The John Curtin Leadership Academy is an intensive co-curricular leadership program. Students are selected to be involved in the program, undertake leadership development training, receive mentoring from community leaders and apply their skills by working in teams to complete a valuable project for a community organisation. LEADBYE.G, formed and operating by 6 JCLA ambassadors which came from different major and background. Currently we are doing a community project in SK Long Teru, Project WaTeru. Our target is provide cleaner water to the community.
