I am a physician-scientist and biotech leader with a background spanning academic medicine, human genetics, and AI-driven therapeutic discovery. As an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Stanford School of Medicine, I led multidisciplinary research teams applying machine-learning models to large-scale genomic and multi-omic data to uncover disease mechanisms and validate new therapeutic targets. I now serve as Executive Director of Genomic Medicine and Data Science at Bitterroot Bio, where I lead AI/ML initiatives in both omics-driven target discovery/validation and generative protein modeling, integrating deep learning, structural biology, and experimental validation to accelerate translation from computational insight to drug candidates.
