With over 30 years of experience in the architecture and engineering industry, I am a passionate and innovative leader who delivers high quality and sustainable solutions for complex projects. As the principal at ZIAS Architecture and Engineering, I oversee the design, planning, and execution of projects across various sectors, such as healthcare, education, commercial, and residential. I also manage the business development and client relations of the firm, securing and maintaining contracts with key stakeholders and partners. My credentials include LEED AP Building Design + Construction and Professional Engineer licenses in New York and Virginia. I have a master's degree in high performance structures from MIT and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech. My core competencies include new business development, structural engineering, Oracle Primavera, and team leadership. I am fluent in Amharic and English, and I enjoy learning about different cultures and perspectives. My mission is to create innovative and efficient designs that enhance the quality of life and the environment for the communities we serve.
