About

Dennis Henry’s career as an Information Technology Professional started in 2007 while attending the University of Central Florida (UCF) to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. His first position in the field was as a Techranger for UCF’s Course Development and Web Services department. He created tools for web classes at UCF and offered support to students in those courses. In May 2008, while working for UCF, Dennis interviewed at HostDime and was hired as a Server Analyst I. With his strong work ethic, Dennis quickly moved up the ranks of HostDime holding five positions in the company, moving from an entry-level employee to the Vice President of Operations in about 2 ½ years. Dennis held the title of Chief Operating Officer where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of HostDime and its subsidiaries. After a 12-year career at HostDime, Dennis made a shift in his career to focus on Engineering Management and took a role at Auth0 as an Engineering Manager where he managed a Platform team working on a new project involving Datastores, Big Data, and Observability. He then transitioned into leading the Platform Operations subdomain, including the Site Reliability Engineering organization where he specializes in Incident Response and Management. Currently, Dennis works as a Software Architect within the Customer Identity Product Unit where he partners with teams across the organization tos solve complex problems and mentors teams on relability and resilience practices. Dennis is currently studying at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and will graduate in October of 2025 with his Master of Science in Human Factors. On a personal note, Dennis lives in Orlando, FL with his wife Nicole, dog Koko, cat Texas, and snake Nüwa. He is an ethical vegan of 5+ years and enjoys being outdoors, exercising, and living life to the fullest. Dennis is neurodivergent, with both Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD) and Attention-Deficient/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
