DENNIS THOMPSON is presently living in Rowlett, Texas, USA. He has been making photographs of the variety of places that he has lived for 40 years. During the course of his career he has lived and photographed in Provence, Sicily, Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates, the desert Southwest and California. In spite of the prevailing rule to find one subject and zero in on it, he thoroughly enjoys trying to capture what it feels like to live and breathe in the variety of places, that he has found himself, around the globe, whether it be nature, landscapes, lighthouses, automobiles, animals, still lifes or people. The collection of photographs that are part of BEAMS Freelance Photography are well organized and extensive in the travel areas of Provence, Sicily and the UAE. The collection has an emphasis on lighthouses and villages that border the sea with the harbors and boats and views that accompany living on the ocean. Part of the collection consists of 8,000 transparencies that are readily scanned via a Nikon LS-5000 scanner. The remainder of the collection are digital images that have each been captured in JPEG and RAW mode. This allows for ease of access and quicker response to the photo needs of editors and buyers.
